Upper Lip Hair Removal Tips

You may think about any stray hair that you get on your face and worry about what others think of it. What you may not know is that there are more women out there dealing with this problem than you may realize. In fact, for every three women you know, two of them have some type of hair that worries them, and that they remove. You would never know, but they do. If you have the most common type of facial hair, the ‘mustache’ that grows in for some, you have to think about upper lip hair removal. There are a few ways you can do this.

One great way to go about upper lip hair removal is to not remove it at all. Most that have this have it because it is genetic, and it might not be as bad as they think it is. You don’t have to totally remove it to get it to go away. If you have  just a light mustache there, and it seems to only bother you, you can just bleach it. There are kits out there just for this, and this solution seems to work well for many. It makes the hair light enough to blend with the skin and it becomes almost unnoticeable.

If you think the hair must go, and bleaching is not for you, you can use special products for upper lip hair removal in your own home. You can get Nair products  that are made just to remove hair from the face. Other companies make this as well. Do not buy the formula for the legs, as this is too strong for the skin on the face. You would do upper lip hair removal by adding the formula to the troubling area, waiting the recommended time, and then removing it. If you have irritation, use a cool cloth to sooth the area for a few minutes when you are done.

You don’t have to use this for upper lip hair removal if you don’t wish, or if you want something that may last a little longer in the way of results. You can get wax to remove hair from the upper lip. You can get some that is for sensitive skin, but any waxing might not be the best idea if that is what you have. You can warm the skin, dry it, power it (to suck up oils), and then apply the wax. This form of upper lip hair removal can be a bit shocking, but you will get used to it. It works well in the long run as it takes the hair out by the roots, making new growth take longer to reappear.

As a more permanent way to do upper lip hair removal, some like to get laser treatments. These can zap the hairs and most of them do not come back. The problem with this is that the hairs have to be really dark so the laser can tell them apart from the skin. If they are too close, it will just zap the skin, and that would not be a good thing. If you go in for this type of upper lip hair removal, they should tell you if you are a good candidate for it or not. It can work well, but is not good enough just yet to help everyone who may want to get it done.
